Dr. Federico Richter, MD
RPhS, DABVLM Board Certified
Dr. Richter was born and raised in Argentina and grew up in a family of vein doctors. His Grandfather, one of the first vein specialists in Argentina, helped pioneer sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose and spider veins in the 1940s. His Father has been treating veins for over 45 years.
Dr. Richter then re-located from the busy suburbs of Indianapolis where he completed his residency and practiced for 5 years. Since the completion of his residency here in the United States, he has also focused on the newest developments in minimally invasive vein treatments. Dr. Richter received his medical degree in Argentina in 2003 from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. He then completed a year of general surgery and a 3-year Fellowship in vein and lymphatic disorders in 2007. As a venous and lymphatic medicine specialist, he is dedicated to treating varicose and spider veins and their underlying causes. With over a decade of experience in the specialized medical field of diagnosing and treating vein disease, Dr. Richter was one of the first doctors to use lasers to treat a variety of vein diseases in Argentina. Certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and an active member of the American College Of Phlebology, Dr. Richter has also accumulated an impressive list of qualifications and educational accomplishments during the course of his career.
Dr. Richter’s 1st priority is the well-being and quality of life for his patients in the Bradenton, Sarasota, Sun City, Ruskin, and surrounding areas of Florida.
Katrina Mullen, PA-C (Physician Assistant/Physician Associate)
Katrina Mullen is a board-certified Physician Associate dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered vascular care. A Florida native and first-generation American, Katrina is proud of her Panamanian heritage, which has allowed her to serve patients as a bilingual healthcare provider in both English and Spanish.
Katrina earned her Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Central Florida in 2016 before completing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2020.
Drawn to the procedural side of medicine, Katrina began her career in Urgent Care and Emergency Medicine, where she gained four years of experience managing a wide variety of acute medical conditions while refining her diagnostic, procedural, and critical-thinking skills. For the past year and a half, she has specialized in vascular medicine, where she has developed a passion for diagnosing and treating chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), caring for patients with lymphedema, and performing minimally invasive venous procedures.
Katrina understands that undergoing a procedure can be intimidating, and she takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and at ease throughout their venous ablation treatment. She believes that educating patients and building trust are just as important as delivering excellent clinical outcomes.
Known by both colleagues and patients for her intellectual curiosity, empathy, and strong work ethic, Katrina is committed to providing individualized, evidence-based care while helping patients improve their vascular health and overall quality of life.
Adriana Perez Varona, FNP-C (Nurse Practitioner)
Adriana Perez Varona is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a diverse clinical background in critical care, pulmonary medicine, and aesthetic medicine. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Now practicing in vascular medicine, Adriana is dedicated to helping patients achieve better vascular health through comprehensive evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and patient education. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she strives to build trusting relationships while delivering high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs.
